About us
Who is behind KoreaAgent?
KoreaAgent is run by BoostHub Co., Ltd. in Seoul, the team behind TheGameAgent. We act as the domestic agent and outsourced government affairs team for foreign companies in Korea.
Where we come from
BoostHub was founded by a former Google Play policy and partnerships lead who spent ten years at Google, working with Korea's Fair Trade Commission and Game Rating and Administration Committee. The founder then handled the Personal Information Protection Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service at a SaaS startup, along with ISMS certification.
When Korea's game agent rule took effect in October 2025, we became the domestic agent for more than ten global app and game publishers under TheGameAgent. KoreaAgent takes the same team and the same way of working to every Korean law that requires an agent.
What we have done
In the past 12 months we handled 27 regulator matters for our clients, counted per client. Every deadline was met, and none led to a corrective order or a sanction. The work included:
- Correction requests, answered title by title, with mandatory fixes separated from recommendations
- Regulator inspections of agent arrangements, including an on-site check
- Dispute mediation and damage-relief data requests
- An app store warning traced back to its cause, and fact checks on which company is responsible
